Social Media includes:

“In the digital space, attention is a currency. We earn it. We spend it” - Brian Solis

This quotation simply describes how recently people in social media try to get attention or making a relationship. Social media has become one the fastest way to spread information even within every second. Here is one of the examples taken from lifeasoflate.com:

I saw a Facebook post a few weeks ago about a high school girl, Jessica, who went missing after school. She went missing at, maybe, 4pm.

By 10pm, the post about her disappearance had been shared 7,459 times. That number isn’t individuals who saw the post, but networks of individuals.

I’ve seen a wide range in statistics for the average number of friends on Facebook, but we’ll use 300 for illustration purposes. So if all 7,459 people who shared the post about Jessica had roughly 300 friends in their network, we can estimate that roughly

2,237,700 people read about this girl’s disappearance less than 6 hours after she went missing.

It clearly shows that social media be able to capture every single moment that happening during this time. Social media was made to capture the users social life. People can just share anything into their social life account. Because of that, some businesses seek an opportunity by using social media as their new strategic/ marketing ways. In term of business side, a lot of small firm try to compete and start making business from Social Media, for example: Online shops in Instagram. Marketers and organization use social media to enhance their popularity or gain awareness to their customer. Social media is created as tool of research and finding. These are some of brands that active in social media:

From target consumer perspective, it is found that people born between in 1980-2000 (Millennials Generation) are the most age group that using social media in their lives.

(Pinterest, 2016)

This group of people relates their lives to the technologies that offer life easier than before. From the research, it is show that social networks are an extraordinarily important part of Millennials’ digital lives, in part because social networks have become much more than a way to connect about personal matters (expressed a sence of frustration or maybe happiness). In the end, even though social media bring a lot of cons, people still accept its existence just because "we are born to it".
